“There are far, far better things
ahead…
better than anything we have left behind.”
C.S. Lewis
I wish I was popping back into blogland
with something profound to explain
a month’s absence…but all I can say in my
defense is July was like a long, deep exhale.
Free days spent by the water napping reading, eating fresh
blueberries and every day being amazed at growth…the garden, him, her, them and
myself!
We had some of the most amazing, full of
sunshine, gorgeous days.
I took more
days off than I worked. Knowing this is
his last summer,
I wanted to enjoy him. There were coffees, books, walks, movies,
pancake dinners and ice cream breakfasts.
I don’t typically do well with change…in
fact, I usually fight it. It is never easy.
I want to hold on to now. It makes me ache inside to know it is time to
let go.
This time though, I tried to slow down and
instead of fighting and missing out…
I enjoyed every day that I had. I learned, again,
that we need change to
survive, to grow, to bloom.
I started some new projects:
5 in 5
Reflection
Bama blanket
for Cynthia
Lanasdeana Fantasy Blanket:
Completed more…
Summer garden
Kaleidoscope

Sweet Rose
Now it's August and back to reality... but how I enjoyed my month of not too much
but so very much all at the same time.! Doing simple things was a really lovely way to be for a while,
