A New Year Project...

My new year-long project...

One hexagon, every day, all year.
If you are on Instagram, #babyhexagons

They are so cute and so simple.  It is easy to commit to just one a day!  Just reach into your stash and use whatever comes out.
For the pattern and the details @crochet_ali  !
(I altered mine slightly from the original pattern...
my work is so loose, that I added a third round of hdc)

Reading...

"The Ocean at the End of the Lane"
by Neil Gaiman

(me... reading in the park one sunny, cold lunch break!
I love having this park only 2 blocks away from the office.)

I only completely read 4 books last year!  4!!
My goal this year is at least 12...

  1. I love your little hexagons. One a day is such a good idea - I saw from crochet_ali's instagram that she's getting addicted. You'd better be careful! Although there are probably worse things to be addicted to :)

What a lovely setting for your reading. I thought The Ocean At The End Of The Lane was a great book - not my taste, so I'm not sure I enjoyed it personally - but I could tell it was really well written and so engaging. Hope you're enjoying :)

    1. Thank you, Laura. It is very tempting to do 5 or 6 at a time, but I am sticking to just one a day. I usually love Neil Gaiman, so I a little surprised that I not totally into this book. But it was a good choice to get back into the habit of reading everyday Thanks for stopping by!

  3. I like hexagon pattern with two tones. I hope you keep going throughout the year. I tried with grannies a couple of years ago, but did not finish.

    1. Thank you. I tried the crochet mood blanket last year. I made it way too complicated and quit by February! so this year I am keeping it simple!

  7. So cute - I love your version with the two colors. Not sure if I can do it this year as I still need to finish my 2014 blankets - but I have plenty of scraps and this would be a fun way to use them up!

    1. Thank you. It is a fantastic way to use up all those little scraps. I admire you not starting a new project until the old one is finished. That is why I have so many WIPS!
